Vera Bruß was born in 1980 and lives and works in her remote and rural farm near Lübeck. Her studio has also been there for more than 10 years, photographing couples and individuals in their favorite ambience. Her photos made it on the cover of the BDSM magazine headlines. Vera Bruß realized her love for extravaganza very early on. Her very first photos (around 19 years old) showed two women with torn fishnet stockings, rivet belts and patent corsets, dark and hard-contrast, beastly and hot. At that time still very Gothic-heavy, but already in the direction of fetish. The main focus was on the expression, the passion in sight …
“I wanted to make loud statements and defiantly celebrate the non-normal as normal.” – Vera loves to pounce on the peculiarities of people and to accept them radically, including their positive perversions. At best playful, sometimes shy and careful, but definitely always full of feeling. It is always the extraordinary that appeals. The exhibition in the Erotic Art Museum is her first exhibition.
The pictures of the exhibition with the photographer and artist Vera Bruß are works that show a segment of their diversity. For years she has been photographing couples, lone fighters and models from the BDSM scene who have asked her to stage her fetish.
This creates images that are arranged and motifs that are created during the sessions. Both approaches exert a fascinating appeal on the viewer. Even the artist herself is always staged with imaginative outfits. Look forward to a FotoFetisch of a special kind.
